This is a series from the Early 1960’s
It follows the adventures of a Deep Sea diver named Dan and
his friends Finley, Doc Sturgeon, Sawfish, Skipper Kipper
and Miss Minerva the Mermaid
Along the way they encounter the villain Baron Barracuda
and his henchman Triggerfish
To get the feel of the deep sea this was shot through a large fish tank
It is comprised of part live action and early puppetry
The talking fish puppets are so cute!
One has a mustache + a monocle, another is a Cigarette smoker (Underwater ?)
and yet another has a foreign accent
